This is what a guy missing his bandmates looks like. Loose Cattle had a different idea of what Sunday April 19th 2020 was going to be like back in the happy days B.C. It was going to be a joyous day, making our first ever appearance this morning at French Quarter Fest, and debuting songs from the brand new record we would have released just two days ago. We were so thrilled to be playing for our city and the people who love her, and getting to hear all the fantastic local music spilling out from stages all along the Mississippi River. We are hardly alone, of course. There are disappointments and hardships much greater than this. And we strongly support the need for caution and sacrifice to keep each other safe and well. Still, we miss being with you today. So, as a little lagniappe for now, we put this home-made video together today for a song from our brand new record (release date tba) as a thank you to everyone selflessly sacrificing and suffering for the sake of others. It's a pale version of what you'll get with the whole band singing and playing, but it's what we could do today. And it’s a promise that Loose Cattle is with you now, and will be with you again. Songs and stories will fill the air again, and laughter and the comfort of family, friends and community will fill our days and nights again. And the tasty delights of corner gas station chicken will surely litter our sidewalks again…We’ll see y’all then.
